Illinois ranks 3rd in nation of states with most new wind energy
Chicago – The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) today announced that Illinois ranked third in the nation for the installation of new wind energy generation in 2007, behind only Texas and Colorado. Last year, Illinois added 592 megawatts of new wind power generation, increasing the total state wind generation capacity to 733 megawatts. read more


Apartment Complex Nearly Ready
Construction is near completion on the Prairie Achievement Center, 1220 E. Boston Ave. The nine-apartment complex is being funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It was built for individuals with developmental disabilities. read more
